Tao Massage

Tao Massage “Invigorating Harmony”

Every massage follows its own path to lead the recipient into its centre. On the one hand, the Tao Massage is one of the most meditative massage forms because it does not, for example, focus at any one point on muscle relaxation like perhaps a vigorous oil massage would. On the other hand, the Tao massage seems highly intelligent in the way it uses its rigid composition and exceptional but tender strokes to put the recipient into a wonderful lucent state.

Its intention is to stimulate, calm, interconnect and harmonise a person’s body of energy as derived from the yin and yang principle in Taoism.

We see a person’s body of energy as being directly connected with our mind, the psychological body, and our human shell, the physical body. All three interact and can have a negative or positive influence on each other.

The area that is addressed is very large and only touched upon here to show that this massage relates to the connections of our being. This massage provides a wonderful experience and has the potential to be “addictive”. Who would not want to enjoy this inner state of harmony again and again?

We have given the Tao Massage the nickname “little Buddha”. Its fine and delicate effect on the recipient provides a unique experience. It takes into account the whole body, touches energy lines and energy points and follows these as in a ritual or meditation. This massage was created by Stephen Russell and Jürgen Kolb; both are specialists in the field of Taoism.

The massage starts briefly on the front of the body, then the recipient turns over onto their back and it finishes again on the front. The massage may be given on a massage mat or table and it is aided by the use of some massage oil. After the massage you will have a few minutes of rest and the opportunity to have a shower. The effect of the massage will unfold gently.
